We were introduced to the delightful pairing of mortadella and pistachio at a sandwich shop in Florence. No surprise, we have found this combination works just as well on top of a pizza.

With a few simple ingredients, this pizza is quick to assemble.

12-Inch Pizza

We were introduced to the delightful pairing of mortadella and pistachio at a sandwich shop in Florence. No surprise, we have found this combination works just as well on top of a pizza.

Ingredients

  • Arugula (massaged with some extra virgin olive oil, and salt and pepper)

  • A few slices of mortadella

  • Pistachio pesto (recipe here)

  • Your favourite cheese, shredded (we used a mix of smoked gouda and havarti)

Directions

  • After prepping your pizza dough (recipe here), top with a thin layer of pistachio pesto and a generous handful of cheese.
  • Cook in a 800 °F oven for 30-60s.
  • Once your crust is out of the oven, top with a layer of mortadella and arugula.
